Frequently Asked Questions…
Return Policy
Unfortunately we do not accept returns on our baking kits. However, if there is a concern or defect, please reach out to us so that we can resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
How are you handling COVID-19?
We are adhering to the CDC guidelines to protect ourselves & our customers during this uncertain time! Safety is our number one priority.
Can i substitute alternative milks in the Cupcakes kit?
Yes! The cupcake recipe calls for whole milk as this creates the best cupcake possible, though alternative unsweetened & unflavored milk options, such as oat, 2% & almond work wonderfully. With milks that have a more distinct flavor (such as oat) expect that to add a subtle flavor to the over all cake.
Can I Use an Egg SUBSTITUTE in the cupcake kit?
Yes! The texture & density will change, but an egg substitute can work for the cupcake kits.
How Long will the Cupcakes Last?
Cupcakes are best when enjoyed within 36 hours of baking! However, stored in the refrigerator, the cupcakes will last about 4-5 days. They will keep for about a month in an airtight container in the freezer (the baking cups are freezer safe). Leftover buttercream stored in a proper airtight container will keep for the same durations as well.
Do i bake the cupcakes right in the baking cups?
Yes! The baking cups are food safe & intended to take the place of traditional cupcake liners. The freestanding cups make it so that you do not need to utilize a muffin tin… Simply place the cups on a baking sheet, or a flat oven safe surface, fill & bake as instructed. The cups are oven safe up to 380˚F & freezer safe. Do not put empty baking cups in the oven.
Can I use coconut oil for the cupcakes instead of Canola or VEGETABLE oil?
Yes, you can use coconut oil for your cupcakes! This will change the texture a bit (I find that it produces a denser cake) & of course add a coconut-y flavor, but if you prefer coconut to other oils… go for it!
Are the Sprinkles Gluten Free?
The sprinkles included in the Soirée Cupcake Kit are gluten free & vegetarian, though they contain milk & soy. Soon you be able to purchase a packet of vegan, naturally dyed sprinkles to be added to your kit!
Is the packaging RECYCLABLE?
Yes! Both the packets for the ingredients & the boxes are recyclable. Please remove the stickers & tape before recycling these items. The piping bag needs to be washed out with soap & hot water before recycling!
I have done a lot of research & tested many packaging options. I went with a recyclable option verses a biodegradable or compostable versions, as proper facilities for these items are not readily available. Sadly, my research taught me that just because it is labeled as compostable or biodegradable, that doesn’t mean it can simply be incorporated into your garden or that it will disappear faster in a landfill. I will keep researching packaging options as they hopefully grow & improve with time and technology.
